Year after year we carry out various
Eco-Humanitarian Trips throughout the country, with
the aim of making people aware of the importance of
preserving natural resources and supporting deprived
communities.
A
large percentage of the adult Argentine population
does not have the possibility of getting a good job.
This deepens their poverty and impacts directly and
negatively on the role of the family and
institutions at the heart of human relations. The
lack of resources, absence of many basic services
and a deficient urban environment create poor living
conditions. All this, combined with distance from
education and health facilities, encroaches on many
children’s right to a fulfilled life from the day
they are born.
Fundación Agreste bases its work around benefiting
the environment and achieving a better quality of
life for those who suffer most. We aim to achieve
this is through education about environmental
awareness while at the same time facilitating
sustainable initiatives which allow the poorest
communities access to a more dignified life.
Every Eco-Humanitarian Trip®
is a humanitarian project in which Fundación
Agreste travels to an area that needs humanitarian
aid. We take donations for the community, from
vitally important, durable items such as clothes,
blankets and shoes, to toys, books, furniture and
tools. This is not restricted to one trip, but is
instead part of a comprehensive long-term project
that begins months before and continues long after
the visit.
The trips are part of the Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) Programme developed by
Fundación Agreste.
They also fall within the ‘The Match Against
Desertification’ programme, as part of the
activities of diffusion and education around this
issue. They are therefore focussed on raising
awareness and sensitising the different places
visited to the many causes and consequences of
desertification, such as soil degradation, drought
and poverty.
The Eco-Humanitarian Trips® initiative began in
2000, after the crisis our country’s least protected
communities found themselves in.
Each
of our trips brought relief and hope to around
1200/1500 people who benefited directly, covering
some 17000 kilometres over the years.
We ask for your, and everyone’s, collaboration so
that we can reach more places and help the children
that need it most. Your contribution, as small as it
may seem, is a great help to the work that Fundación
Agreste is involved in. Your personal contribution
and presence will reinforce the tasks we carry out
over the course of the journey.
En cada una de nuestras travesías se llevó
alivio y esperanza a aproximadamente 1200/1500 beneficiarios
directos. Habiendo recorrido unos 17 mil kilómetros
en estos años.
We invite you to be part of this great
task, get involved and make use of solidarity for
the common good. Many people of limited means need
your help to live a dignified and healthy life.
